Verana Health Expands Clinical Trial Tools with Real World Data Integration

May 05, 2026
Verana Health has introduced new functionality for its Site Explorer and Verana Trial Connect platforms to improve site selection and patient enrollment in clinical trials. The update uses real world data to give sponsors and CROs real time visibility into trial progress and patient eligibility.

Verana Health announced in a press release new features for its Site Explorer and Verana Trial Connect applications to improve site selection and patient enrollment in clinical trials. The tools now provide full process visibility for sponsors and contract research organizations through real time dashboards that display deidentified screening activity and site performance.

The Site Explorer platform helps sponsors locate medical practices with patient populations that match their study criteria and shows how inclusion and exclusion rules affect eligible trial populations. Verana Trial Connect uses data from electronic health records to identify potential participants and automate eligibility checks, reducing manual review and accelerating the prescreening process.

Verana Health’s data access comes through partnerships with the American Academy of Ophthalmology IRIS Registry and the American Urological Association Quality Registry. These collaborations give the company deidentified health records for more than 95 million patients across over 3,200 practices, refreshed regularly to ensure current insights for trial planning and execution.
