UtilityInnovation Group has appointed Jon Rodriguez as President of Energy Centers to enhance power solutions for data centers, addressing AI-driven demands.

UtilityInnovation Group has appointed Jon Rodriguez as President of Energy Centers, a new role aimed at advancing power solutions for data centers in North America and Europe. This appointment, announced in a press release, is part of UIG's strategy to address the increasing power demands driven by artificial intelligence and high-density compute applications.

Rodriguez will lead the deployment of UIG's Energy Centers solutions, which are designed to provide data center developers and operators with energy systems that offer development readiness, operational flexibility, and enhanced resiliency. A key component of these solutions includes the Energy Storage for Resiliency (ESR) and GridSure platforms, which enhance power stability and integrate controls for mission-critical operations.

With over two decades of experience in utility-scale power plant development, Rodriguez's leadership is expected to accelerate UIG's growth in the global Energy Center market. His previous role at Wärtsilä Energy involved focusing on large-scale power plant solutions, making him well-suited to drive UIG's initiatives in supporting AI-driven data centers and other large energy users.
