United Imaging Unveils AI-Enhanced Digital Radiography System
United Imaging has announced its latest innovation, the uDR Aurora CX digital radiography system, which integrates computer vision, automation, and AI diagnostics into healthcare imaging modalities announced in a press release. At the core of this system is the uVERA platform, which incorporates vision-enabled robotics and AI into United Imaging's digital radiography offerings.
The uDR Aurora CX features two uAI® Vision Cameras within the tube head, creating a real-time 3D model of each patient. This allows for fully automated positioning with a single button press, adjusting to the patient's body shape and size. The system also automatically configures collimation and exposure settings tailored to the model, while allowing customization for individual patient needs.
An embedded AI quality control system provides real-time feedback and preventative quality alerts to technologists, reducing the need for repeat exams and minimizing patient radiation exposure. Additionally, the system offers retrospective quality analysis, delivering analytics-driven quality data to support departmental quality programs. United Imaging's next-generation AI image processing platform enhances image quality through improvements in image enhancement, tissue equalization, and multi-scale denoising, ensuring high-quality imaging at low doses across all patients.
United Imaging Healthcare continues to drive innovation in the U.S. market, with the uDR Aurora CX being a prime example of their commitment to advancing healthcare technology.
