Thomson Reuters Updates CoCounsel for Tax and Audit Work
Thomson Reuters has launched the next generation of CoCounsel Tax, Audit & Accounting, updating the agentic platform introduced in 2025, the company said in a press release. The platform moves from source documents and client data to completed work that professionals can review.
CoCounsel writes and runs code for calculations including depreciation, amortization, required minimum distributions, and threshold checks. It can also create Excel workbooks with formulas and assumptions, draft Word and PDF documents, and update files using a firm's existing templates.
The platform uses Thomson Reuters sources, including Checkpoint, which contains more than 12 million primary and analytical documents. It supports MCP connectivity and integrations with UltraTax, Engagement Manager, and Guided Assurance.
The new platform is available to all customers in the United States. Thomson Reuters plans to add more features and integrations over time.
