Talview has been awarded a U.S. patent for Alvy, an AI proctoring solution designed to detect sophisticated cheating tools during remote assessments.

Talview has been awarded its first U.S. patent for Alvy, an AI proctoring solution designed to outsmart sophisticated cheating tools, announced in a press release. The patent, granted on July 15, 2025, covers a novel AI-based system that uses large language models to monitor users during remote interviews and exams.

Alvy is engineered to detect and counteract AI-assisted cheating tools such as Cluely, ChatGPT misuse, and deepfake-driven impostors. It operates as an agentic system, capable of perceiving, deciding, and acting independently to maintain the integrity of remote assessments. Key features include real-time autonomous decision-making, deepfake and AI detection, and behavioral intelligence.

The system not only identifies suspicious activities but also assists candidates by clarifying instructions and reducing stress through empathetic AI interaction. Talview reports that Alvy detects eight times more suspicious activities than legacy systems and recognizes 99% of events flagged by human proctors, enhancing both security and candidate satisfaction.
