Dr. Joleen Liang, co-founder of Squirrel Ai Learning, presented a human-centered approach to AI in education at Web Summit 2025 in Lisbon, emphasizing collaboration between educators and intelligent systems to personalize learning.

Dr. Joleen Liang, Co-founder of Squirrel Ai, discussed the future of human-AI collaboration in education at Web Summit 2025 in Lisbon, announced in a press release. The event, held from November 10 to 13, gathered over 70,000 participants and featured leaders from global technology and business sectors.

Dr. Liang participated in three major forums, including *“Human vs. Machine: Who Owns the Classroom of Tomorrow?”*, where she emphasized that AI should support rather than replace teachers. She described Squirrel Ai’s multimodal intelligent adaptive learning system, which combines cognitive diagnostics, knowledge graphs, and error-cause analysis to create personalized learning paths.

According to Liang, this system allows educators to focus on inspiration and creativity while AI handles repetitive tasks. She highlighted that the company’s model, built on data from over 43 million students and 20 billion learning behaviors, enables real-time understanding of each learner’s needs and progress.

Her presentation outlined Squirrel Ai’s vision for a boundaryless, data-driven classroom that enhances rather than diminishes human interaction. The approach positions AI as a tool for achieving large-scale personalized learning and educational equity.
