SPX FLOW is addressing the growing demand for efficient data center cooling with its APV plate heat exchangers and Johnson Pump solutions, announced in a press release. These technologies are designed to support the increasing thermal management needs driven by the rise of AI and high-performance computing.

The APV plate heat exchangers are engineered to transfer heat effectively, ensuring servers operate smoothly under heavy loads. They offer precise temperature control, which is crucial for managing the massive heat and water flow demands in modern data centers. Additionally, these exchangers extend the use of free cooling cycles, reducing energy consumption and reliance on mechanical chillers.

Johnson Pump's vertical pumps play a critical role in maintaining thermal stability by keeping cooling water circulating through heat exchangers. This prevents thermal hot spots and protects processors by cooling the coolant before it is recirculated. The JP CombiFlex and Universal series pumps are specifically designed for demanding environments where uninterrupted availability is essential.

These solutions have already demonstrated their effectiveness in real-world applications. For instance, a major data center in China achieved significant energy savings with APV PHEs, leading to a follow-up order for additional units. Similarly, Johnson Pump's corrosion-resistant vertical pumps have been reliably operating in one of the world's largest data centers in Finland for over a decade.
