SoftBank Robotics America has expanded its strategic partnership with Direct Supply to increase the use of autonomous floor care programs in senior living communities, announced in a press release. The collaboration, first established in March 2025, now includes nearly 100 communities operating over 100 autonomous floor care robots daily.

The partnership focuses on improving operational efficiency and cleaning consistency while reducing manual labor demands. Direct Supply contributes expertise in senior living operations, while SoftBank Robotics America provides enterprise scale deployment and optimization programs.

According to the companies, results from participating communities show that robotic cleaning systems allow staff to shift from routine floor care to resident-focused services. Sabra Health Care REIT has reported improved efficiency and resident experience through this approach.

SoftBank Robotics America stated that the partnership aims to create predictable and measurable performance outcomes across senior living portfolios, supporting the adoption of automation technologies for long term operational value.
