Sniffer Robotics Expands Methane Detection Services in South America

Sniffer Robotics has partnered with BRa Tecnologia Ambiental S.A. to extend its methane detection services to Argentina and Brazil, utilizing the SnifferDRONE CH4 Gen II.

Sniffer Robotics has announced an international partnership with BRa Tecnologia Ambiental S.A. to expand its methane detection services in South America. In a press release, the company detailed that BRa-TA will join the Methane Analysis Partner Program (MAPP), gaining access to Sniffer Robotics' landfill methane detection technologies, including the SnifferDRONE™ and SnifferView™ GIS platform.

The partnership will initially focus on servicing landfill and RNG facilities in Argentina and Brazil, with plans to extend operations to Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador, and Peru. The collaboration began with monitoring surface emissions at the BRa Norte III Environmental Complex in Buenos Aires, one of the largest active landfills globally.

The SnifferDRONE CH4 Gen II, launched in January 2025, features a lighter payload and improved detection capabilities, making it a critical component of Sniffer Robotics' strategy to scale its business through the MAPP program. The drone's enhanced features include a 200% increase in flight time and improved terrain-following algorithms, providing a more efficient and user-friendly experience for partners.
