SK hynix Launches Venture Capital Brand for AI Investments
SK hynix launched SK hynix Ventures, a corporate venture capital brand based in Silicon Valley, the company said in a press release. It will invest in AI computing, data centers, system software and optical interconnect technologies.
The company introduced the brand at its first SK hynix Ventures Day in Silicon Valley. The event brought together SK hynix executives, venture capital firms and startups to discuss computing, memory, software and optical systems for AI data centers.
SK hynix has invested directly and through funds in semiconductor and emerging technology startups since 2015. Its investments have covered companies in the United States, China, Israel and Japan, including projects involving equipment development and technology testing.
