Simple Life Raises $35 Million Series B for AI Health Coaching Platform

November 06, 2025
Simple Life, an AI-powered health coaching app, has raised $35 million in a Series B round led by Hartbeat Ventures and Liquidity to expand its personalized weight management technology.

AI health coaching app Simple Life has raised $35 million in Series B funding, announced in a press release. The round was led by Hartbeat Ventures, founded by Kevin Hart, with participation from Liquidity, an AI-driven private credit firm.

The funding follows a year of strong performance for Simple Life, which reported $100 million in 2024 revenue, 64% year-over-year growth, and operating profitability. The app has surpassed 20 million downloads, with users collectively losing more than 17.5 million pounds.

Simple Life plans to use the new capital to accelerate AI development across four areas: hyper-personalization, intelligent coaching through multimodal inputs, AI-assisted content creation, and gamification features to improve retention. The company also plans to launch a gamified companion experience later this year, designed to boost engagement and weight-loss success.

The company’s AI coach, Avo, delivered 19 million coaching messages in January 2025 and was named MedTech Breakthrough’s 2025 “Best Virtual Health Coach.” A peer-reviewed study of 50,000 users found that 42% achieved at least 5% weight loss after one year, supporting the app’s data-driven approach to sustainable health outcomes.
