Sight Machine Introduces AI Agent Crews for Manufacturing Automation

April 20, 2026
Sight Machine has launched autonomous AI agent crews designed to optimize manufacturing operations, demonstrated at Hannover Messe 2026. The agents analyze production data, recommend process improvements, and can progressively take on direct control of operations within user-defined limits.

In a press release, Sight Machine introduced autonomous AI agent crews designed to enhance manufacturing efficiency. The announcement was made at Hannover Messe 2026 in Germany, where the company demonstrated how these agents work continuously to maximize production performance.

The AI agents operate within Sight Machine's industrial AI platform, using a semantic layer that represents live manufacturing processes. Each agent focuses on specific objectives such as improving throughput, quality, or cost. Working together, the agents analyze real-time data, identify anomalies, and provide recommendations to operators.

Manufacturers can begin using the agents in analysis and recommendation mode, with the option to grant direct control over certain processes once reliability is proven. The agents use Sight Machine's analytics tools, including statistical and machine learning techniques, to support optimization and root cause analysis.

The system integrates with common productivity tools like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams, as well as enterprise data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. The agents communicate securely through the Model Context Protocol and operate within Microsoft Azure’s security framework. Expanded availability of the technology is expected later in 2026.
