SAS and Kansas State University Tackle Water Quality with AI
SAS and Kansas State University are collaborating to address water quality challenges in Kansas using data and AI, announced in a press release. The initiative, leveraging the SAS Viya platform, aims to transform water resource management and guide policy and investment decisions to ensure access to clean water for all residents of the state.
The project will integrate various data sources, including well data, land use, and water quality assessments, to provide a comprehensive understanding of Kansas' water resources. By starting with data from the Kansas River Basin, the initiative seeks to support evidence-based decisions, improve water resource conditions, and identify best practices in water management.
SAS Viya's advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning capabilities will enable the Kansas Water Institute to access a centralized data repository, facilitating seamless data management, transformation, and visualization. This collaboration aims to empower researchers with technology that increases productivity and generates relevant insights for addressing water challenges effectively and sustainably.
