SAP Expands AI Developer Tools and Data Integrations at TechEd 2025
At SAP TechEd 2025 in Berlin, announced in a press release, SAP SE introduced new AI-driven tools and partnerships to enhance how developers build enterprise applications. The updates to SAP Build include integration with popular development environments like Visual Studio Code and agentic tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Windsurf, supported by new SAP Build local Model Context Protocol Servers. SAP also announced plans to integrate Joule Studio agents with n8n’s automation platform.
The company expanded its data ecosystem through SAP Business Data Cloud, which now includes a new solution extension and partnership with Snowflake. This integration brings Snowflake’s managed data and AI capabilities directly to SAP customers, complementing existing connections with Databricks and Google Cloud. A new data product studio feature enables developers to convert raw data into ready-to-use assets for analytics, AI, and application development.
SAP also unveiled its first enterprise relational foundation model, SAP-RPT-1, designed to predict business outcomes such as delivery delays or payment risks. New AI assistants in Joule can coordinate multiple agents across departments, automating complex business processes. Additionally, SAP introduced a free playground environment for developers to experiment with these AI tools.
As part of its broader initiative, SAP pledged to equip 12 million people worldwide with AI-ready skills by 2030 through expanded training and certification programs, including offerings via Coursera.
