RSC Bay Area Adopts Alife Health AI for Embryo Assessment

June 02, 2026
RSC Bay Area has become the first fertility clinic in the United States to use Alife Health’s FDA-cleared Embryo Predict AI tool in routine IVF care, providing patients with AI-assisted embryo selection.

RSC Bay Area has become the first fertility clinic in the United States to implement Alife Health's Embryo Predict tool in routine patient care, announced in a press release. The deployment follows recent clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, marking the tool as the first AI system for embryo assessment to receive such approval.

Embryo Predict uses artificial intelligence trained on thousands of embryo images to analyze blastocysts and generate a data-based score that supports embryologists in selecting embryos for transfer. The system was validated through a large, multi-center randomized trial that demonstrated its ability to assist in embryo selection decisions.

The adoption at RSC Bay Area was enabled by a long-term collaboration between Alife Health and US Fertility, the parent network of RSC Bay Area. This partnership provided the infrastructure and training required to integrate the AI tool immediately after regulatory clearance.

Patients undergoing IVF at RSC Bay Area with multiple viable embryos now have access to AI-assisted embryo selection as part of standard care. The tool provides an additional objective data point to support clinical decisions while maintaining the role of embryologist expertise.
