Robo.ai Subsidiary Neurovia AI Launches NeuroStream Visual Data Platform
Robo.ai announced that its subsidiary Neurovia AI has released its NeuroStream technology platform, according to a press release. The platform is designed to support physical artificial intelligence by providing high fidelity, low bandwidth, and low power infrastructure for large-scale visual data.
NeuroStream uses a bitmap vectorization algorithm to compress video files while preserving resolution and frame rate. Internal testing showed that a 5.5 GB 4K 60fps video could be reduced to 278 MB, cutting storage needs by about 95 percent. The processed data remains visually lossless and can be accessed directly without decompression software.
The platform can operate on low computing edge devices such as drones, sensors, and mobile terminals. It also supports offline operation for secure environments including aerospace, medical imaging, and energy sectors. Neurovia stated that each terabyte saved can generate between $1,000 and $1,500 in annual economic benefits for AI customers.
Neurovia plans to expand NeuroStream deployment to applications in autonomous driving, robotics, industrial AI, and smart cities. The company expects the technology to help reduce network bandwidth demand and energy use across global data centers.
