Vision Marine and Avikus Begin NEUBOAT Integration for Electric Boats
Vision Marine Technologies has begun a technology partnership with Avikus to evaluate NEUBOAT integration with Vision Marine's twin motor E-Motion propulsion architecture, the company announced in a press release.
The STERK 31E will be the first validation platform. The work will focus on connecting intelligent navigation, vessel controls, and Vision Marine's high voltage electric propulsion system.
Planned NEUBOAT functions include object recognition, route planning, smart autopilot, adaptive cruise, collision avoidance assistance, and automated docking assistance.
The companies are developing an integration approach for other compatible twin motor vessels. The program is also meant to produce engineering and operating data for E-Motion in connected vessel control systems.
