Rime Raises $24 Million Series A for Speech to Speech Enterprise AI
Rime has raised 24 million dollars in a Series A funding round led by M13, with participation from Twilio Ventures, Corazon Capital, Unusual Ventures, and other investors, announced in a press release. The investment will support the company's proprietary conversational dataset and hiring in engineering and research as it scales its infrastructure.
Rime specializes in linguistics based voice AI models and claims to handle over 100 million monthly phone interactions across sectors such as healthcare, finance, and consumer services. Clients include Mayo Clinic, Dialpad, Upstart, and Asurion. The company focuses on improving pronunciation accuracy and regulatory compliance for enterprise environments.
The San Francisco based startup was founded in 2022 by Lily Clifford, Brooke Larson, and Ares Geovanis. Rime has appointed Rafael Valle, formerly of Meta and Nvidia, as its Chief Science Officer to lead research and product innovation.
According to Rime, an independent study by Miravoice found its voice models achieved lower hang up rates and faster task completion compared to competitors. The company is developing speech to speech models designed to reduce latency and improve the natural flow of voice interactions.
