Revolut Launches AI Research Lab Built Around Pragma Model

Revolut has launched Revolut Research, a dedicated AI unit built around its Pragma foundation model. The model supports risk checks, fraud detection, platform operations, and product recommendations.

Revolut has launched a dedicated AI research division built around its Pragma foundation model, according to Finextra. The unit, called Revolut Research, will work with NVIDIA on systems for financial behavior analysis in real time.

Pragma was trained on Revolut customer transaction histories. It is used for risk assessment, platform operations, fraud detection, and product recommendations across retail and business accounts.

Early deployments on historical data showed a 2.3 times increase in identifying credit default risk, 65% more fraud cases caught, and 41% more relevant product recommendations compared with older baselines.

Revolut serves 80 million customers in more than 40 markets and processes billions of cross border transactions. The company also plans to open source technical frameworks linked to Pragma.
