Richtech Robotics and Microsoft Collaborate on Agentic AI for Real-World Robotics
Richtech Robotics announced a collaboration with Microsoft through the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Labs to develop and deploy agentic AI capabilities in physical robotics systems, according to a press release. The joint effort enhances the ADAM robot using Azure AI, integrating adaptive intelligence for more contextual and conversational interactions.
The engineering teams from both companies worked to incorporate vision, voice, and autonomous reasoning features into ADAM, enabling the robot to respond naturally to environmental and operational cues such as time of day, weather, and customer preferences. The upgraded system can also alert staff to ingredient or equipment issues before disruptions occur, improving workflow reliability in commercial settings.
While ADAM serves as a flagship example, the collaboration demonstrates how agentic AI can extend to other sectors including logistics, hospitality, and manufacturing. By linking cloud-based AI models with physical robotics, Richtech Robotics aims to enhance service quality and operational visibility across its product portfolio without requiring significant hardware changes.
