Reliance Industries has announced strategic partnerships with Google and Meta to develop AI infrastructure and solutions in India, focusing on enterprise tools and services.

Reliance Industries Ltd has announced strategic partnerships with Google and Meta to bolster India's AI infrastructure. The initiative, unveiled at Reliance's 48th annual general meeting, involves the creation of a new subsidiary, Reliance Intelligence, aimed at developing a national-scale AI backbone. This move is part of India's efforts to compete in the global AI landscape, traditionally dominated by the U.S. and China.

Reliance has partnered with Google to establish a dedicated AI cloud infrastructure in India, starting with a major data center in Jamnagar, Gujarat. This collaboration will enable Reliance to offer AI-focused services to various sectors, leveraging Jio's network and energy assets for large-scale deployments.

In a separate venture, Reliance has teamed up with Meta to develop enterprise AI solutions using Meta's Llama models. This joint venture, which involves a combined investment of approximately $100 million, aims to provide customizable AI solutions for businesses in India and select international markets. The partnership will focus on areas such as sales, marketing, IT, customer service, and finance, offering a suite of pre-configured AI solutions. The collaboration was announced by Meta and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approvals.
