Rank Math Predicts AI Visibility Will Become a Standard SEO Metric in 2027
Rank Math predicts AI visibility will become a standard SEO reporting metric in 2027, the company said in a press release. It expects marketers to measure brand mentions, citations and recommendations in AI generated answers alongside rankings, impressions, clicks and organic traffic.
Rank Math cites Google's introduction of separate Search Console performance reports for AI Overviews, AI Mode and generative AI features in Discover. It also cites a 2026 Pew Research Center survey that found 42 percent of US adults use AI chatbots to search for information.
The company's AI Visibility tool tracks brand mentions, citations, sentiment and placement within generated answers. It also identifies competing brands that appear for the same queries.
