PTC Introduces Orbit Asset Intelligence Platform for Manufacturers

PTC has launched PTC Orbit, a cloud-based asset intelligence system that connects engineering and maintenance data across enterprise systems using AI. The platform consolidates asset information and provides predictive insights to improve product reliability and service readiness.

PTC announced in a press release the launch of PTC Orbit, a cloud native asset intelligence platform designed to unify data across product lifecycle systems for manufacturers. The platform connects PLM, ERP, CRM, IoT, EAM, and FSM systems into a single record that reflects the as maintained state of each asset.

PTC Orbit applies AI to make asset information accessible and actionable across engineering, quality, and service teams. It consolidates fragmented asset data and creates a unified view that supports accurate tracking after products ship. The system helps organizations maintain consistent asset visibility across departments.

The platform includes AI functions that identify service patterns, calculate asset health scores, and forecast maintenance needs by asset group, region, or account. It also offers an AI interface called the AI canvas, which surfaces insights dynamically based on user context.

PTC showcased Orbit during its PTC NEXT Chicago event on June 9 and 10. The company has also made the PTC NEXT On Demand Experience Hub available with additional content for customers and partners.
