Primero Launches With $12 Million for Enterprise AI in Latin America
Mexico City based Primero has launched publicly and raised $12 million in seed funding, announced in a press release on August 25, 2026.
Kaszek and General Catalyst co led the round, with participation from Definition, Conviction, 8VC, and angel investors tied to FEMSA, Bimbo, Aeroméxico, and Kimberly-Clark de México. Current customers include Mexico City's Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico, Kimberly-Clark de México, Terpel, SmartFit, and Verde Valle.
Primero's product, Primia, connects to legacy ERP, CRM, finance, warehouse, document, and other enterprise systems. It turns fragmented business data into a shared enterprise ontology and supports AI agents that work across systems with authentication, governance, and traceability.
The company is led by José Murillo, Andrés Rosales, and Santiago Buenahora, who previously worked at Meta, 8VC, and Robinhood. Primero has offices in Mexico City, Madrid, and Bogotá.
