Podium Automation Raises $18 Million to Expand Industrial Control Panel Production
Podium Automation has raised $18 million in Series A funding led by Construct Capital, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Transition Ventures, Sunflower Capital, and Banter Capital, announced in a press release. The round brings the company's total funding to more than $23 million.
The new capital will support the expansion of Podium Automation's manufacturing capacity, growth of its engineering and operations teams, and continued investment in its software platform. The company produces industrial control panels in less than four weeks using a software enabled process that replaces hand-drawn schematics with digital models and automates fabrication and assembly.
Podium Automation's system connects customer requirements, electronic design tools, and shop floor instructions into one process. Its software also selects and connects electrical components based on customer and UL requirements, improving both speed and manufacturability. Each panel is validated in the company’s UL 508A certified facility before shipment.
As part of the funding round, Construct Capital Co-Founder and Managing Partner Dayna Grayson will join Podium Automation's Board of Directors.
