Planful Introduces AI Planner Assistant for Financial Forecasting

April 29, 2026
Planful has launched its AI Planner Assistant, a conversational tool that generates financial forecasts and scenario models through natural language queries, extending its suite of AI assistants for finance teams.

Planful, Inc. announced in a press release the general availability of its AI Planner Assistant, a conversational interface designed to deliver financial forecasts and scenario models using natural language. The tool allows finance leaders to request projections, analyze variances, and detect anomalies through simple text queries, receiving visualized results in real time.

The Planner Assistant is powered by the Planful Predict engine and integrates with a company’s financial data to produce explainable forecasts. Each output can be traced and validated, distinguishing it from generic AI tools that rely on public training data.

This release follows Planful’s earlier introduction of Analyst Assistant in October 2025, which focuses on insights from historical data. Together, the two assistants form a continuous planning system that helps finance teams understand past performance and forecast future outcomes. Planful plans to showcase the Planner Assistant at its Perform26 On the Road events in New York on May 14 and San Francisco on May 21.
