Persistent Systems and NVIDIA Partner on AI for Drug Discovery

March 19, 2026
Persistent Systems has announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to develop AI-powered solutions for computational drug discovery, using NVIDIA’s BioNeMo and NeMo Agent Toolkit to create generative molecular simulations and agentic workflows.

Persistent Systems is collaborating with NVIDIA to accelerate AI-driven innovation in healthcare and life sciences, announced in a press release. The partnership aims to enhance computational drug discovery and research outcomes using generative AI and advanced analytics.

As part of the collaboration, Persistent has introduced a Generative Molecules and Virtual Screening (GenMolVS) solution powered by NVIDIA’s BioNeMo platform and NeMo Agent Toolkit. The system enables large-scale molecular simulations to model physical and chemical properties, supporting real-time virtual screening and drug candidate prioritization.

Persistent plans to integrate NVIDIA Nemotron open models to further improve GenMolVS. The company will also deploy AI applications using NVIDIA accelerated computing, servers, and NIM microservices to support production-grade simulation and inference in regulated research environments.

Through this initiative, Persistent will expand its AI and large language model engineering capabilities by leveraging NVIDIA’s infrastructure, training resources, and certification programs to deliver advanced AI and data platforms for life sciences organizations.
