Parallel Web Systems Launches Index to Compensate Content Owners for AI Use
Parallel Web Systems has launched Index, a platform that allows content owners to track and be compensated for how AI agents use their material, announced in a press release. The platform introduces a new model that aligns incentives between AI systems and publishers, providing insight into how each source contributes to AI-driven tasks.
Launch partners include The Atlantic, Fortune Media, PR Newswire, Enigma, Fiscal AI, PitchBook, RocketReach, Tracxn, and ZoomInfo, along with independent creators such as Every, Exponential View, Not Boring, Sources, and The Generalist. Index calculates compensation using each source’s estimated contribution to an AI agent’s output, rather than fixed licensing fees.
Content owners can view how their material is used by agents and receive payments based on its value to those tasks. Parallel plans to expand Index to more content categories and make it self-serve, enabling broader participation from site owners and developers. The company said the platform is open to AI agents built outside its own infrastructure.
