Parallax Worlds Raises $4.9 Million to Expand Virtual Robot Testing Platform
Parallax Worlds has raised a total of $4.9 million to develop its hyper-realistic simulation platform for robotics testing, announced in a press release. The $4 million seed round was led by Pear VC, with participation from GS Futures, Kakao Ventures, Lightscape Partners, and several angel investors.
The company’s platform converts simple video captures into interactive 3D environments, allowing robotics teams to build digital twins for testing robot performance and reliability before hardware deployment. It integrates with physics engines such as NVIDIA Omniverse, Unreal, and Unity, and adds AI-assisted scenario generation for automated edge-case testing.
Parallax Worlds’ customers include Orangewood Labs, BotBuilt, and Rainier Labs, which use the platform to validate robot behavior under factory conditions. The company plans to use the new funding to expand into enterprise manufacturing, support research and development, and hire additional staff.
Co-founder and CEO Tanmay Agarwal said the platform aims to compress on-site testing cycles and improve reliability by enabling extensive virtual validation before robots reach production floors.
