OpenGov has acquired Ignatius to expand its AI capabilities, focusing on no-code workflows and custom applications for local and state governments.

OpenGov, a leader in AI-enabled software for local and state governments, has announced the acquisition of Ignatius, a low-code platform specializing in automating public sector forms and workflows. This acquisition aims to enhance OpenGov's capabilities in creating custom-built applications for government use.

Ignatius is known for its AI-driven solutions in areas such as grants management, disaster preparedness, and infrastructure banking. The platform's technology will allow OpenGov to offer more configurable software solutions, enabling public administrators to tackle complex initiatives with ease. The acquisition marks OpenGov's 10th in its mission to improve government efficiency and accountability.

Following the acquisition, Mark Della Volpe, founder of Ignatius, will lead the product line's advancement, while Graeme Ownjazayeri, COO of Ignatius, will manage solution architecture and customer success. OpenGov has also introduced AI-powered features across its product lines, including tools for procurement, asset management, budget management, and permitting and licensing.

OpenGov's expansion into AI and automation reflects its commitment to providing high-performance solutions for over 2,000 communities across the United States, aiming to foster trust and efficiency in government operations.
