Navitas and Great Wall Power Collaborate on High-Density DC-DC Converter for AI Data Centers
Navitas Semiconductor has partnered with Great Wall Power to introduce a next-generation 2.5kW ultra-high power density DC-DC converter for AI data centers, announced in a press release. This collaboration leverages Navitas' GaNSense technology to enhance power efficiency and density.
The new converter, developed by Great Wall Power, boasts a power density of 92.36W/cm³, which is up to eight times higher than traditional silicon designs. It achieves a half-load efficiency of 97.9% and operates within a wide input range of 320-420 VDC. This makes it suitable for AI data centers, telecommunications, and industrial equipment.
Navitas' GaNSense NV6169 power ICs, featuring loss-less current sensing and rapid short-circuit protection, power the converter. The ICs are designed for high-efficiency, high-density power systems, offering 50% more power than previous designs. This collaboration aims to meet the growing power demands of AI data centers while promoting energy efficiency and sustainability.
