MoonPay Launches PayBox Payment Vault for Claude and ChatGPT

MoonPay launched PayBox, a payment vault that lets AI agents in Claude and ChatGPT prepare payments and crypto transactions for user approval.

MoonPay has launched PayBox, a payment vault for AI agents that connects with Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's ChatGPT, the company announced in a press release.

PayBox lets users ask an AI assistant to prepare transactions, including token purchases, token swaps, bridge transfers, DeFi actions, travel bookings, restaurant reservations, and shopping. Users approve transactions with a passkey before funds move, or can allow autonomous actions within limits they set.

The product stores cards so an AI agent can pay without seeing card details. Wallet keys are protected with threshold cryptography and secure enclaves, and no single party can sign transactions alone. Each passkey approval is scoped to one action and expires after use.

PayBox supports Solana and EVM compatible chains including Ethereum, Hyperliquid, Tempo, Base, Robinhood Chain, Arbitrum, and Polygon. It also uses x402, an open standard for payments started by agents. PayBox is available at www.paybox.sh.
