MIT Technology Review Insights and Globant Report Rapid Agentic AI Uptake in Pharma
Nearly three quarters of global pharmaceutical organizations are piloting or deploying agentic AI, according to a press release from MIT Technology Review Insights and Globant. The study, based on responses from 250 pharma leaders, highlights rapid adoption of AI agents across commercial and medical operations.
The report identifies regulatory compliance (51%), data standardization (49%), patient support (46%), and market intelligence (46%) as the leading areas of focus. It notes that 84% of respondents consider data standardization and integration a high or medium priority to enable AI agents to deliver value.
The findings suggest that pharmaceutical companies are moving beyond experimentation toward operational deployment of AI systems, with early adopters targeting improved efficiency and insight generation across core business functions.
