
Mistral AI Introduces Mistral Code for Enterprise Developers
Mistral AI has launched Mistral Code, an AI-powered coding assistant aimed at boosting productivity for enterprise software engineering teams. Announced on their website, Mistral Code integrates powerful models, an in-IDE assistant, and local deployment options into a comprehensive package. This tool is designed to help developers increase their productivity with the support of IT and security teams.
Mistral Code builds on the open-source project Continue, adding enterprise-grade controls and observability. It is currently in private beta for JetBrains IDEs and VSCode, with general availability expected soon. The platform supports over 80 programming languages and offers features like code autocomplete, code search, and chat assistance.
The product is already being adopted by global enterprises such as Abanca and SNCF, demonstrating its capability to handle complex development environments. Mistral Code allows for fine-tuning and post-training on private repositories, offering a level of customization not available in typical SaaS copilots.
