MindHYVE.ai and Partners to Develop Kenya's National AI Policy

MindHYVE.ai, in collaboration with DV8 Infosystems and KICTANet, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-develop Kenya's National Artificial Intelligence Policy. This partnership aims to establish a framework for ethical, sovereign, and forward-compatible AI governance in Kenya, announced in a press release.

The MoU outlines a structured alliance between the three organizations to refine and enhance Kenya's National AI Strategy for 2025-2030. The collaboration will focus on integrating technical, ethical, and regulatory design elements that are rooted in best practices and tailored to African contextual realities. The initiative will also ensure participatory engagement mechanisms to include underrepresented voices in the policy-making process.

The partnership highlights Kenya's ambition to position itself as a leader in responsible AI development, with the potential to influence global AI policy architecture. The comprehensive policy framework developed through this collaboration will be presented to the Government of Kenya, aiming to align with the country's constitutional, economic, and cultural priorities.
