September 15, 2025
MGI Tech Co., Ltd. has launched the DNBSEQ-T7+, a high-throughput sequencer designed for large-scale genomic research, offering over 14 terabases of data per day.

MGI Tech Co., Ltd. has introduced the DNBSEQ-T7+, a next-generation high-throughput sequencer, announced in a press release. The T7+ is engineered to meet the increasing demand for large-scale genomic research, delivering more than 14 terabases of data in just 24 hours.

The DNBSEQ-T7+ features a compact design with flexible run configurations and end-to-end automation. It integrates MGI's proprietary DNBSEQ™ technology with advanced fluidics, optics, and bioinformatics, creating a platform that is faster and more versatile. The system supports 1–4 flow cells per run and adapts to projects of any scale, integrating every step from DNB preparation to bioinformatics analysis into a fully automated workflow.

Key technical highlights of the T7+ include a throughput of more than 14 terabases per day, an annual capacity of up to 35,000 whole-genome sequences, and accuracy validated with over 90% Q40 quality scores. The sequencer also offers reduced energy consumption and a smaller footprint, making it a powerful tool for accelerating breakthroughs in cancer genomics, rare disease research, and precision medicine.

The DNBSEQ-T7+ is now available for order, with international shipments expected to begin in late 2025.
