M31 and Ambiq Develop Low Power Chip IP for TSMC N12e
M31 Technology and Ambiq introduced Foundation IP for the N12e process from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited, the companies announced in a press release. The solution combines an SPSRAM memory compiler with a standard cell library for AIoT, wearable and always on edge devices.
The memory compiler supports high performance and ultra low power operation, along with redundancy, power gating and built in self test. Its dual rail architecture operates at close to 500 MHz with a near threshold periphery voltage.
The companies say the standard cell library achieves about 50% leakage power savings through joint circuit and layout work. M31 and Ambiq developed the IP for Ambiq platforms to reduce power use, chip area and design time.
