Lytx Highlights New AI Fleet Safety Tools at Protect '26 Conference

Lytx introduced several AI-powered fleet safety and telematics tools, including new detection systems and coaching features, during its 2026 Protect Conference in San Diego.

At its annual Protect Conference in San Diego, Lytx announced in a press release a series of new AI powered fleet safety and telematics tools. The event gathered transportation leaders and technology experts to explore innovations in fleet management and safety.

Lytx showcased its platforms LytxOne and Lytx+, along with a new collaboration with Platform Science. The partnership aims to provide customers with integrated solutions for video safety and telematics across multiple systems.

New features introduced at the conference include Dynamic Risk and Speed for Conditions, which use AI to detect hazardous weather and road conditions. Other updates include Construction and Pedestrian Zones detection, Low Bridge Detection, and License Plate Detection Overlay. These tools are expected to roll out between summer and fall 2026.

Lytx also presented Coach Assist, a generative AI feature that helps safety coaches deliver faster feedback, and Driver Self Coaching, which guides drivers through correcting minor behaviors. Additional upcoming tools such as Dynamic Adjust and Intelligent Admin will allow fleet managers greater control over operations and safety parameters by winter 2026.
