LiveU Partners with DRONERESPONDERS to Advance Drone Video for Public Safety

May 12, 2026
LiveU and DRONERESPONDERS have formed a strategic partnership to improve real-time drone video transmission for emergency response and law enforcement operations, focusing on training, integration, and community support.

LiveU has announced a new collaboration with DRONERESPONDERS to enhance real time video intelligence for public safety operations, according to a press release. The partnership aims to improve situational awareness for first responders by integrating LiveU's live video transmission technology into drone operations used by law enforcement, homeland security, and emergency services.

Through this partnership, LiveU will support DRONERESPONDERS' educational initiatives, including webinars and the UNITE training program, by providing technical insights on live streaming and connectivity solutions. The companies plan to demonstrate LiveU's portable encoders, such as the LU-REQON1 and LU900Q, integrated with public safety drone platforms at events including OHCON, NCCOM, CALCON, and TEXCON.

The collaboration focuses on enabling encrypted, high definition video streaming over aggregated cellular, WiFi, and satellite networks using LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT) technology. This ensures stable video transmission from drones even in bandwidth limited or disaster affected areas, supporting timely decision making during critical incidents.

LiveU will also contribute to DRONERESPONDERS' nonprofit mission of advancing the use of unmanned aircraft systems and related technologies to strengthen community safety and emergency response capabilities.
