LG AI Research has signed a master agreement with D&D Pharmatech to jointly develop oral peptide therapeutics using artificial intelligence, aiming to accelerate drug discovery and improve treatment safety and absorption.

LG AI Research has signed a master agreement with D&D Pharmatech to co-develop oral peptide therapeutics using artificial intelligence, announced in a press release. The agreement was formalized at LG Twin Towers in Seoul and aims to accelerate the discovery of next generation peptide drugs through AI-driven design and validation.

Under the collaboration, LG AI Research will design peptide drug candidates using models that analyze disease-causing structures to identify optimal peptide sequences. D&D Pharmatech will handle synthesis, formulation, and clinical validation of the AI-generated candidates. The two companies plan to establish a feedback loop where experimental results are used to refine LG’s AI models.

The partnership focuses on developing orally administered peptide treatments for conditions that currently rely on injectable drugs. By applying AI to molecular design, the companies expect to improve bioavailability and reduce both development time and cost. D&D Pharmatech will use its ORALINK platform to enhance oral absorption and manage global regulatory processes.

LG AI Research continues to expand its work in biotechnology, supported by its EXAONE Discovery platform, which applies AI to drug and materials development. The organization is also developing Cancer Agentic AI, a precision medicine platform for oncology analysis and treatment recommendation.
