Lancium Secures $600 Million for Texas Data Center Expansion
Lancium has secured $600 million in debt financing to support the expansion of its data center operations in Abilene, Texas. The financing package was facilitated by Cantor Fitzgerald, acting as a strategic advisor. This funding will aid in the development of the Abilene site, which hosts OpenAI's Stargate data center.
The Abilene campus, initially approved in 2021, is designed as a renewable energy-powered data center campus. It spans approximately 800 acres and is expected to offer up to 1.2 gigawatts of power capacity. The site is part of Lancium's broader strategy to develop multiple data center campuses across West Texas, aiming for a total capacity of 5 gigawatts by 2028.
Lancium's expansion efforts include plans for additional sites in Childress County and Hall County, with the Childress development potentially exceeding 2 gigawatts at full build-out. The company continues to focus on leveraging renewable energy sources to power its data center operations.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
