L8P8 Launches Loop8ID Age Shield for Privacy-Safe Age Verification
L8P8 has introduced Loop8ID Age Shield, a privacy-first age verification platform that uses device signals from Apple Inc. and Google to determine user eligibility without collecting personal data, announced in a press release.
The system allows online platforms to comply with U.S. child safety laws while avoiding the need to store or process sensitive information. Loop8ID Age Shield verifies whether a user is an adult or a minor using OAuth 2.0 and trusted device signals, producing an instant pass or fail result in under a second.
According to the company, the tool eliminates the need for ID uploads or document scans, reducing risk of data breaches and operator liability. It supports compliance across several U.S. state regulations, including those in Louisiana, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
Loop8ID Age Shield features zero personal data storage, a passwordless architecture, and sub-second verification. The product is available for integration by companies and state agencies seeking to meet tightening age verification requirements without compromising user privacy.
