IBM Unifies AI Governance and Security with New Software

IBM has introduced a new software solution that integrates AI governance and security, enhancing the management of AI risks and compliance, announced in a press release. This industry-first software combines IBM's watsonx.governance and Guardium AI Security to provide a unified view of enterprise risk posture.

The integration aims to help businesses secure their AI systems, including agentic AI, by automating security processes and validating compliance against multiple frameworks such as the EU AI Act and ISO 42001. New capabilities include automated red teaming to detect vulnerabilities and the ability to define custom security policies to mitigate risks like data leakage.

IBM's watsonx.governance now offers enhanced lifecycle management for AI agents, allowing for comprehensive monitoring from development to deployment. The software also includes Compliance Accelerators, which provide pre-loaded regulations and standards to assist users in mapping obligations to their AI use cases.
