IBM Launches Autonomous Security and Assessment Services for AI-Driven Threats
IBM has introduced new cybersecurity offerings to help organizations defend against AI-powered threats, announced in a press release. The company unveiled a cybersecurity assessment for frontier model risks and a new multi-agent service called IBM Autonomous Security.
The cybersecurity assessment, delivered by IBM Consulting and its partners, helps enterprises identify vulnerabilities, policy gaps, and AI-specific risks. It also provides prioritized mitigation guidance and suggests automation improvements to strengthen response capabilities.
IBM Autonomous Security uses interoperable AI agents to coordinate detection, analysis, and response across an enterprise’s security systems. The agents assess software exposures, enforce policies, detect anomalies, and contain threats with minimal human input. The service integrates with governance and risk systems to maintain real-time visibility into security and compliance postures.
IBM said the new offerings are intended to help organizations address attacks that operate at machine speed, where traditional manual defenses are no longer sufficient.
