Huawei Presents Six Power Showcases at AI × Energy Summit

Huawei announced in a press release six electric power showcases at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai on September 24. The projects cover power generation, distribution, consumption and communications in Brazil and China.

The showcases include CEMIG's digital grid in Brazil and a demonstration zone that coordinates distribution networks and microgrids at China Southern Power Grid's Guangzhou Baiyun Power Supply Bureau. Other projects cover power network diagnosis and operations in Shaoshan, electricity supply and consumption in Jiangxi, a ±800 kV ultra high voltage digital converter station in Shaoxing, and a power communications network in Liaoning.

Huawei Electric Power Digitalization Business Unit CEO David Sun identified digital talent, digital infrastructure and a digital regulated asset base as priorities for new power systems. Huawei said it will work with power companies and standards organizations on common metrics, architectures and technologies.
