HSBC Asset Management has taken an equity stake in London based AI company Model ML through its flagship venture capital strategy, Crowdfund Insider reports. The size of the investment was not disclosed.

Model ML builds AI tools for banks, asset managers, and advisory firms. Its platform automates workflows including research compilation, due diligence reviews, financial analysis, and document creation.

The company uses a model agnostic system that routes each task to an AI model selected for the job. This lets financial institutions use different AI models without changing internal workflows.

Founded less than two years ago by brothers Chaz and Arnie Englander, Model ML has raised more than $100 million to date, including a $75 million Series A round. HSBC Asset Management made the investment through a venture capital fund of funds program within its alternatives platform.
