GSA Signs First Direct OneGov Agreement With Perplexity AI
The U.S. General Services Administration has signed its first direct OneGov agreement with Perplexity AI, enabling federal agencies to access the company’s Enterprise Pro for Government service through the GSA Multiple Award Schedule.
The agreement allows agencies to use Perplexity’s enterprise platform for $0.25 per agency over an 18-month term. The deal marks the first time the GSA has worked directly with an AI company under the OneGov program, which aims to simplify procurement by engaging original technology providers without intermediaries.
Perplexity’s Enterprise Pro for Government offers cited, verifiable responses drawn from multiple leading AI models, including those from Anthropic and OpenAI, while incorporating enhanced security features for government use. The company’s participation in FedRAMP’s 20x pilot program helped it achieve rapid authorization for deployment to federal systems.
Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Josh Gruenbaum said the agreement aligns with the White House’s AI Action Plan to integrate advanced AI models into government operations. Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas stated that the platform is designed to help public servants make informed decisions by providing accurate, sourced information across multiple AI systems.
The arrangement follows Perplexity’s earlier introduction of its government-focused offering in September 2025 and reflects the administration’s effort to expand direct access to secure, American-developed AI technologies across agencies.
