GS Microelectronics has acquired Muse Semiconductor, a move that strengthens its position in the global semiconductor ecosystem. Announced in a press release, this acquisition will allow GSME to expand its reach into key innovation hubs across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Muse Semiconductor is known for its multi-project wafer (MPW) services, which facilitate chip designs built on TSMC technology. The integration of Muse's agile fabrication services and customer portfolio with GSME's comprehensive design-to-production platform aims to provide a seamless path from prototype to high-volume production.

The combined company will continue to offer Muse's MPW services, now enhanced by GSME's capabilities in design, manufacturing, and supply chain management. This strategic acquisition is expected to create a powerful platform for innovators, from university researchers to Fortune 500 companies, by offering a single, trusted point of contact for complex semiconductor projects.
