Geely Farizon, WeRide, and Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly develop mass-produced right-hand-drive Robotaxis, starting with deployment in Hong Kong before global rollout.

Geely Farizon, WeRide, and Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop mass-produced Robotaxis for right-hand-drive markets, announced in a press release. The announcement was made at the 2026 International Automotive and Supply Chain Expo in Hong Kong.

The collaboration will produce a new Robotaxi model built on Geely Farizon's GXR platform. The vehicle will be fully designed for right-hand-drive operation, including new vehicle layout, autonomous driving software, and human-machine interface systems adjusted to regional traffic rules and road conditions.

Hong Kong will be the first city to deploy commercial right-hand-drive Robotaxi services. Kwoon Chung Smart Mobility, a subsidiary of Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings, has already tested left-hand-drive Robotaxi GXR units in the city under a pilot autonomous driving license. The new project will build on these trials with expanded product validation and operational testing.

The companies plan to scale this model to other right-hand-drive markets, including Singapore, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Australia. The partnership continues the collaboration between Geely Farizon and WeRide, who previously launched the Robotaxi GXR for driverless commercial operations in Beijing and Guangzhou.
