The project introduces intelligent sorting robots that integrate manual and automated induction stations, enabling the facility to handle up to 50,000 parcels daily. This deployment aims to enhance operational efficiency and improve employee ergonomics by reducing physical strain.
Francois Retief, Group Executive of Supply Chain Management at Takealot, highlighted the project's role in improving customer experience and employee well-being. Wayne Tai, Head of Channel Title of Geekplus EMEA, noted the rapid implementation of the project, completed in just six months, as a testament to the effective collaboration between Geek+, Takealot, and ECC.
